Consultation Events take place on:
Tues, 12 Sept 2017 (2pm – 7pm) at Turnberrie’s
Weds, 13 Sept 2017 (2pm – 7pm) at Thornbury Library
Thurs, 14 Sept 2017 (2pm – 7pm) at the Armstrong Hall
I think that Turnberries is not situated in a location that will attract sufficient patronage. The Armstrong/Cossham Hall should be retained and modernised. The Library was originally planned to be a multi story building to also accommodate the Youth Centre. Moving the Library would be counter-productive and would ensure its suggested closure. Residents are aware where public buildings are situated. Moving them for an apparent financial gain is wrong. Think again!
Thank you for your comments.
A decision on the future of facilities is later in the Autumn. To help make these decisions, we are seeking views from the local people throughout September 2017, which will be considered as part of the decision making process.
There are three consultation sessions taking place in September:
* Tuesday 12 Sept (2pm – 7pm) at Turnberrie’s
* Wednesday 13 Sept (2pm – 7pm) at Thornbury library
* Thursday 14 Sept (2pm – 7pm) at the Armstrong Hall
Further information and a link to the online survey is available from each organisations website or from this link: http://www.southglos.gov.uk/consultation.
